Sign match
Virgo + Sagittarius
Tropical zodiac, Western astrology
A square where both signs are mutable: you adapt readily, but in different directions. Virgo cares what needs fixing now; Sagittarius cares what it all means. Virgo may find Sagittarius rash and over-promising, while Sagittarius finds Virgo picky and stifling. Yet if you listen, Virgo supplies the workable details for Sagittarius’s dreams, and Sagittarius shows Virgo that things move forward without being perfect. Divide roles between careful planning and deliberately leaving room for risk.

- The same modality: you meet change in a similar way, which helps you stay in step and can also lead to head-on clashes.
- Distance between the signs
- 3 signs apart (Square)
The two signs
Virgo: Sun sign personality
Virgo is mutable earth, and Mercury rules it, which gives this Sun an analytical, practical mind in service of making things work. You notice details others pass over: a loose thread, a flaw in a plan, the small fix that changes everything. You tend to feel at ease when you are useful and when your surroundings are in order. Under a modest manner sits a sharp, steady intelligence that is always refining.
Sagittarius: Sun sign personality
Sagittarius is mutable fire, ruled by Jupiter, the planet of growth and belief. With your Sun here you look toward the horizon: the next place, the bigger idea, the answer to why. You need room to roam, in geography, in thought or in belief, and you tend to feel cramped by small, fixed frames. Your outlook is hopeful, and your enthusiasm often arrives with a question about what it all means.
