Sign match
Sagittarius + Capricorn
Tropical zodiac, Western astrology
Sagittarius looks far ahead and gambles with hope; Capricorn studies the path and the price of each step. These are neighboring signs who speak very different languages. Sagittarius may see Capricorn as tense and pessimistic, Capricorn may see Sagittarius as flighty and unreliable. Joined up, though, Sagittarius helps Capricorn dare bigger dreams and Capricorn gives those dreams a working plan. Start with a small project where tasks are clearly split, and respect that you each rest differently.
Elements, modalities and distance
- Element
- Fire · Earth
- Elements that see the world differently: it takes more translation, and you often learn the most from each other.
- Modality
- Mutable · Cardinal
- Different modalities: one likes to start, one to sustain or one to adapt, so roles share out well once you understand each other.
- Distance between the signs
- 1 sign apart (Semi-sextile (30°))
The two signs
Sagittarius: Sun sign personality
Sagittarius is mutable fire, ruled by Jupiter, the planet of growth and belief. With your Sun here you look toward the horizon: the next place, the bigger idea, the answer to why. You need room to roam, in geography, in thought or in belief, and you tend to feel cramped by small, fixed frames. Your outlook is hopeful, and your enthusiasm often arrives with a question about what it all means.
Capricorn: Sun sign personality
Capricorn is cardinal earth, ruled by Saturn, the planet of time, structure and consequence. A Sun here tends to see life as something built step by step. You take responsibility early, think about the long term and respect what has been tested by time. Your manner may seem reserved or dry, yet beneath it sits a strong inner drive to make something solid and meaningful.
