Aries decan 3: the decan lords of both systems

Tropical zodiac, Western astrology

Aries decan 3 · ราศีเมษ เดแคนที่ 3

Chaldean decans

Aries decan 3 covers 20°00′–29°59′ of Aries, the last ten degrees before Taurus. In the Chaldean system each ten-degree slice has a lord called the face, and here it is Venus.

Venus as face lord gives the last stretch of Aries a softer handle. The urge to start is still there, but it now asks who will like the result, and it is pulled toward things that look or feel good while they are moving. Initiative is aimed at a particular person or a particular taste, so it comes with some charm. Impatience shows up as flirting, bargaining or persuading before it shows up as pushing.

A planet here tends to emphasise wanting: choices driven by attraction as much as by urgency. In practice, it shows in how a plan is pitched: you choose the venue, the wording and the moment so that the other person will want to say yes.

Triplicity decans

Aries decan 3 covers 20°00′–29°59′ of Aries, the last ten degrees before Taurus. In the triplicity system its sub-sign is Sagittarius, and its lord is Jupiter, the traditional ruler of Sagittarius.

Aries coloured by Sagittarius turns the urgency of the sign toward distance and meaning. The start is a leap toward something far away: a plan with a destination, a belief to defend, a move to a new place. Candour is blunt and optimistic. Restlessness shows up as the wish to go somewhere new, not only to go first, and a challenge feels more worthwhile when it stands for an idea larger than the immediate contest.

A planet here tends to emphasise adventure and conviction. In practice, you propose a trip or a move that sounds impossible, argue for it with conviction, and look up the first step the same evening.

Note

The two systems count in different ways, so their results can differ; they do not contradict each other.
