Planets in signs and houses
The Sun in the 9th House
Tropical zodiac, Western astrology
The Sun in the 9th house gives you a hunger for meaning beyond daily routine. Long journeys, foreign cultures, higher study, philosophy, faith or teaching all help you feel more like yourself. You are optimistic, like the big picture, and tend to grow through experiences that widen your worldview. Be careful of jumping to conclusions or assuming your own truth is the only one. Stay open to different views, and your wisdom will deepen and earn more respect from others.
The Sun in a birth chart
The Sun is the centre of the chart, just as it is the centre of the solar system. It represents your core identity: who you are becoming, what gives you vitality, and where you want to shine. Think of it as the conscious sense of "this is me".
