Capricorn: Sun sign personality

Overview

Capricorn is cardinal earth, ruled by Saturn, the planet of time, structure and consequence. A Sun here tends to see life as something built step by step. You take responsibility early, think about the long term and respect what has been tested by time. Your manner may seem reserved or dry, yet beneath it sits a strong inner drive to make something solid and meaningful.

Love

You are slow to commit and slower to leave. In love you show care through reliability, planning and practical support, and you take promises seriously. You may find it awkward to express tenderness in words, and work can crowd out closeness. A partner who values steadiness and shares your goals will see a dry humour and deep devotion. The invitation is to schedule play and softness as carefully as you schedule duties.

Work

Ambition is easy for you, and you often climb steadily toward authority: management, engineering, government, architecture, finance, business building, anything demanding discipline and a long view. You plan, delegate with standards and turn vague goals into milestones. You earn respect through consistency. You tend to give your best when the structure is clear and the rewards are earned fairly.

Strengths

Endurance, self-discipline and a sense of duty that others can build on. You are realistic about limits, patient with long projects and willing to do the hard thing first. Your quiet competence tends to be recognised over time.

Challenges

Being hard on yourself may become coldness, workaholism or a bleak view of what is possible. You can equate worth with achievement, and find it difficult to rest or ask for help. Let enjoyment count as a legitimate goal. Seeking out trusted people who tease you gently can lighten the load, and success tastes better when you allow yourself to feel it.
