Libra decan 2: the decan lords of both systems

Tropical zodiac, Western astrology

Libra decan 2 · ราศีตุลย์ เดแคนที่ 2

Chaldean decans

Libra decan 2 covers 10°00′–19°59′ of Libra, the middle ten degrees. In the Chaldean system each ten-degree slice has a lord called the face, and here it is Saturn.

Saturn as face lord gives the middle of Libra a serious view of fairness and commitment. Agreements are taken as obligations, partnerships are weighed with care, and a contract is read twice before it is signed. Charm is present but kept measured. Slowness to decide is common, because the answer needs to hold up later, and a promise made to one person is checked against what it means for everyone else involved.

A planet here tends to emphasise duty inside relationships. In practice, you read the whole agreement, ask what each side owes the other, and take a week to answer instead of a minute.

Triplicity decans

Libra decan 2 covers 10°00′–19°59′ of Libra, the middle ten degrees. In the triplicity system its sub-sign is Aquarius, and its lord is Saturn, the traditional ruler of Aquarius.

Libra coloured by Aquarius turns the fairness of the sign into principle. Relationships are with equals, ideals are discussed, and independence is respected on both sides. Social circles are wide and friendly, and a partnership works best when each person has their own work and their own friends. The cool tone can read as distance, and a disagreement is often answered with an argument about the rule rather than a word about the feeling.

A planet here tends to emphasise fairness as a principle. In practice, you support a friend's decision to go their own way, argue for a fair rule in a group, and need your own space in a close relationship.

Note

The two systems count in different ways, so their results can differ; they do not contradict each other.
