Libra decan 3: the decan lords of both systems

Tropical zodiac, Western astrology

Libra decan 3 · ราศีตุลย์ เดแคนที่ 3

Chaldean decans

Libra decan 3 covers 20°00′–29°59′ of Libra, the last ten degrees before Scorpio. In the Chaldean system each ten-degree slice has a lord called the face, and here it is Jupiter.

Jupiter as face lord gives the last stretch of Libra a generous, principled outlook on other people. Fairness grows into a wider sense of justice, and relationships are used to learn and to grow, not only to be comfortable. Hospitality and goodwill come easily, as does introducing people to each other. The usual overreach is agreeing with everyone to keep the peace, then discovering that the plans do not fit together.

A planet here tends to emphasise goodwill and shared beliefs between people. In practice, you introduce two friends who ought to meet, say yes to two invitations for the same evening, and then look for a way to keep both promises.

Triplicity decans

Libra decan 3 covers 20°00′–29°59′ of Libra, the last ten degrees before Scorpio. In the triplicity system its sub-sign is Gemini, and its lord is Mercury, the traditional ruler of Gemini.

Libra coloured by Gemini makes the sign talkative and sociable. Decisions are talked through: options are laid out and compared in conversation, often with several people. Wit and diplomacy go together, and writing a message that pleases both sides is a skill here. Staying flexible is easy; committing to one answer is less so. The balance of Libra becomes a habit of seeing two sides in every question.

A planet here tends to emphasise discussion and flexible choices. In practice, you list the pros and cons aloud with a friend, answer a message with two options instead of one, and find "it depends" a natural reply.

Note

The two systems count in different ways, so their results can differ; they do not contradict each other.
