Scorpio decan 2: the decan lords of both systems
Tropical zodiac, Western astrology
Scorpio decan 2 · ราศีพิจิก เดแคนที่ 2
Chaldean decans
Scorpio decan 2 covers 10°00′–19°59′ of Scorpio, the middle ten degrees. In the Chaldean system each ten-degree slice has a lord called the face, and here it is the Sun.
The Sun as face lord puts a personal stake into the depth of Scorpio. Interest goes to what is hidden, and a clear sense of self stands behind the search: you want to be the one who understands what is really going on. Loyalty is total and its conditions are rarely spoken. Pride in your own composure is strong, so strong feeling is often kept out of sight until it is decided whether the other person can be trusted with it.
A planet here tends to emphasise a private but strong sense of self. In practice, you listen more than you speak, work out who is really deciding, and share your own view only when you are sure of it.

Triplicity decans
Scorpio decan 2 covers 10°00′–19°59′ of Scorpio, the middle ten degrees. In the triplicity system its sub-sign is Pisces, and its lord is Jupiter, the traditional ruler of Pisces.
Scorpio coloured by Pisces dissolves some of the guard of the sign. Depth is joined with empathy, and intensity goes into imagination and compassion. Intuition about other people's moods is strong. Boundaries are both firm and porous, depending on who is asking. This part of Scorpio is the one most drawn to art, ritual and private belief, and it can sense what a person is not saying before they have decided whether to say it.
A planet here tends to emphasise intuition and emotional depth. In practice, you pick up what the room is feeling before anyone speaks, are drawn to films or music that go to dark places, and keep a few dreams to yourself.

Note
The two systems count in different ways, so their results can differ; they do not contradict each other.
