Planets in signs and houses
The Sun in Aquarius
Tropical zodiac, Western astrology
You are an independent thinker who looks ahead. You feel vital when you do something different, serve the wider community and keep your mind free. You are friendly with all kinds of people yet need personal distance. The difficulty is a cool detachment when emotions get too close, and stubbornness about your own view. Sharing real feelings with those near you gives your ideals a human dimension.
The Sun in a birth chart
The Sun is the centre of the chart, just as it is the centre of the solar system. It represents your core identity: who you are becoming, what gives you vitality, and where you want to shine. Think of it as the conscious sense of "this is me".
Aquarius at a glance
- Element
- Air
- Modality
- Fixed
Aquarius is fixed air. Its traditional ruler is Saturn and its modern ruler Uranus, a blend of principle and surprise. With the Sun here, you stand a little apart in order to see the whole, and you tend to think in systems, futures and shared causes. Your ideas can be original, and your loyalty to your own convictions is firm. You are friendly yet unwilling to be pinned down, a person who belongs to groups on your own terms.
