Planets in signs and houses
The Sun in Libra
Tropical zodiac, Western astrology
You feel most like yourself inside balanced, fair relationships. You have taste and good manners, and you see several sides of a story before judging it. Your talent for compromise makes you a natural mediator. The common snag is hesitation born of not wanting to upset anyone. Practise stating what you want clearly; lasting peace has to include you in the equation too.
The Sun in a birth chart
The Sun is the centre of the chart, just as it is the centre of the solar system. It represents your core identity: who you are becoming, what gives you vitality, and where you want to shine. Think of it as the conscious sense of "this is me".
Libra at a glance
- Element
- Air
- Modality
- Cardinal
Libra is cardinal air, ruled by Venus, and with the Sun here you understand yourself best in relation to others. You are drawn to fairness, grace and the search for the point where two sides can meet. You weigh, compare and look for what is elegant, both in ideas and in surroundings. Your instinct is to start things through connection: you ask who is involved and how everyone will be affected before you move.
