Planets in signs and houses
Mars in Capricorn
Tropical zodiac, Western astrology
Mars is exalted in this sign. Your energy is organised, ambitious and highly disciplined. You plan for the long run, work steadily and prove yourself by results. You control your feelings well, but may store anger until it becomes physical tension. Make time for rest and for fun that has no practical purpose. Your drive will then stay sustainable and not turn rigid.
Mars in a birth chart
Mars is the planet of energy and action. It describes how you assert yourself, go after what you want, compete, defend your boundaries and express anger. It is your drive, and it shows whether you tend to charge ahead, hold back or wait for the right moment.
Capricorn at a glance
- Element
- Earth
- Modality
- Cardinal
Capricorn is cardinal earth, ruled by Saturn, the planet of time, structure and consequence. A Sun here tends to see life as something built step by step. You take responsibility early, think about the long term and respect what has been tested by time. Your manner may seem reserved or dry, yet beneath it sits a strong inner drive to make something solid and meaningful.
