The Ascendant and Midheaven in the 12 signs
Ascendant in Aquarius
Tropical zodiac, Western astrology
You come across as friendly yet different, with a distinctive personality and forward-looking ideas. People notice your independence and interest in all kinds of people. You approach life with intellectual curiosity and keep a comfortable distance. Your manner can seem cool or uncommitted even though you care seriously about the wider community. Show personal warmth more clearly, and your difference will draw genuine friends rather than create distance.
The Four Angles
The angles are the four most sensitive points of a chart. They come from your exact birth time and place, which is why a chart without a birth time cannot show them. They are drawn as the cross that divides the wheel.
Aquarius at a glance
- Element
- Air
- Modality
- Fixed
Aquarius is fixed air. Its traditional ruler is Saturn and its modern ruler Uranus, a blend of principle and surprise. With the Sun here, you stand a little apart in order to see the whole, and you tend to think in systems, futures and shared causes. Your ideas can be original, and your loyalty to your own convictions is firm. You are friendly yet unwilling to be pinned down, a person who belongs to groups on your own terms.
