Planets in signs and houses
Mars in Leo
Tropical zodiac, Western astrology
You act with confidence, pride and a wish to do something grand. Your drive is charismatic and draws followers, and you work best when there is a stage or an audience that values you. The challenge is haughtiness when challenged and winning just to save face. Lead by example and give others a chance to shine too. Generous leadership will make your victories mean much more.
Mars in a birth chart
Mars is the planet of energy and action. It describes how you assert yourself, go after what you want, compete, defend your boundaries and express anger. It is your drive, and it shows whether you tend to charge ahead, hold back or wait for the right moment.
Leo at a glance
- Element
- Fire
- Modality
- Fixed
Leo is fixed fire, and its ruler is the Sun itself, so this is where the light is most at home. You tend to carry a natural warmth and presence, and people notice when you enter or leave. At your core is a wish to express something that is truly yours, through art, leadership, play or simply the way you treat people. Pride in who you are is not vanity here; it is the fuel that keeps you creating.
