Planets in signs and houses
Mercury in Leo
Tropical zodiac, Western astrology
You speak and think with confidence and colour, and you love telling a story that draws the audience in. Creativity and a warm voice help you persuade and inspire. You think big and want your ideas recognised. Be careful of clinging to your own opinion and feeling embarrassed when contradicted. See criticism as raw material that makes your story stronger.
Mercury in a birth chart
Mercury is the planet of mind and message. It describes how you gather information, think things through, speak and write, and how you learn. In myth it is the messenger who moves between worlds, and in a chart it shows how you connect ideas and people.
Leo at a glance
- Element
- Fire
- Modality
- Fixed
Leo is fixed fire, and its ruler is the Sun itself, so this is where the light is most at home. You tend to carry a natural warmth and presence, and people notice when you enter or leave. At your core is a wish to express something that is truly yours, through art, leadership, play or simply the way you treat people. Pride in who you are is not vanity here; it is the fuel that keeps you creating.
