Planets in signs and houses
Mercury in Aries
Tropical zodiac, Western astrology
Your thinking is quick, direct and bold. You like to decide on the spot and start the conversation before anyone else does. You argue with energy and spot shortcuts to solutions. The downside is impatience: you may cut people off or speak before filtering your words. Leave a short pause before sending anything important, and ask for the other person's view before you conclude. Your ideas will be both sharper and easier to hear.
Mercury in a birth chart
Mercury is the planet of mind and message. It describes how you gather information, think things through, speak and write, and how you learn. In myth it is the messenger who moves between worlds, and in a chart it shows how you connect ideas and people.
Aries at a glance
- Element
- Fire
- Modality
- Cardinal
Sun in Aries sits in the very first sign of the zodiac, in cardinal fire ruled by Mars. Where other signs prepare, you begin. There is a clean, direct quality to how you meet the world: you tend to find out what you think by acting on it, and you feel most alive when something is at stake and the starting line is in sight. Your energy arrives in bright bursts, and it runs on genuine motivation rather than obligation.
