All dates and times are Thailand time (UTC+7), from the astronomical positions of the planets in the tropical zodiac. Tap a date to open that day’s sky in the app.

Thai sidereal (suriyayat) calendars use their own method and may show other dates than this table; for some rounds about one to two weeks earlier.

What is Jupiter retrograde?

A retrograde planet looks as if it is moving backward through the zodiac. It is an optical effect. All planets keep moving forward, but when Earth overtakes or is overtaken by another planet, that planet seems, for a while, to slide back against the stars. Think of passing a slower car on a motorway: for a moment it appears to drift backward. Thai astrology calls this พักร.

Retrograde Planets

Jupiter retrograde in astrology

When Jupiter is retrograde, growth turns inward. Outer expansion slows while you reconsider your beliefs, goals and sense of meaning. Opportunities may seem less obvious, which is a chance to ask what you truly believe in and what is worth pursuing. It suits study, reflection and refining your philosophy. Be careful not to overpromise, and let your optimism rest on what you have actually earned.
